David Hawkins

David Hawkins brings over 20 years of sales and business development expertise to the table, with a knack for winning in security, SaaS, and proposal management. As a certified cybersecurity professional with certifications including CISSP and CTPRP, he’s landed major RFP wins as large as $10M, $20M, and $50M, as well as thousands of smaller deals under $100K—proving he can deliver results across federal, state, tech, financial, energy, and automotive sectors. With deep roots in both physical and cyber security, David’s skills cover everything from identity management and access control to compliance and risk solutions. He has conducted hundreds of workshops and thousands of POCs in vendor cyber risk management. He’s also a proposal-writer, with over 3,000 RFPs under his belt and two decades of experience as a subject matter expert. David has been a customer of many of the proposal automation tools on the market, and has implemented them multiple times each. He also has a talent for presentations and corporate communications. A former Vice Chair of the Open Security Exchange and former president of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP).
